Cirugía de la órbita
La cirugía de la órbita del ojo, se encarga, fundamentalmente, de la extirpación de tumores malignos o benignos, dentro de la cavidad orbitaria. Éstos producen la salida del ojo y suelen poner en peligro la visión y, en algunos casos, la vida del paciente. Igualmente, esta cirugía se encarga del tratamiento de las fracturas en las paredes de la órbita del ojo, así como la corrección de la oftalmopatía tiroidea u ojos que pueden, incluso, a llegar a salirse de la órbita.
Este tipo de cirugía atiende, igualmente a aspectos más relacionados con la cirugía estética como pueden ser los problemas de malposición de los párpados, el exceso de lagrimeo y otros.
Orbit surgery
The surgery of the orbit of the eye, is responsible, fundamentally, for the removal of malignant or benign tumors, within the orbital cavity. These cause the eye to exit and often endanger the vision and, in some cases, the patient's life. Likewise, this surgery is responsible for the treatment of fractures in the walls of the eye socket, as well as the correction of thyroid ophthalmopathy or eyes that can even come out of the orbit.
This type of surgery also attends to aspects more related to cosmetic surgery such as problems of eyelid malposition, excess tearing and others.
